Surrealism Art Review

Traditional Surrealist
Artist- Joan Miro
Title-Chiffres et Constellations
What i like most about this piece is that my eye moves around the entire layout. I like the colors used as well. The reds, blues, and black are combined well. I like the contrast with the thick black lines and the smaller thin lines. The little black dots seem to connect the lines. Overall I think that the artist did well with making it unified.

Digital Surrealist
Artist- Alan King
Title- Fractural Collaboration
I like the purple background color against the black and white checkers. I think that the checkers stand out a lot because of the background color. I also like the movement of the piece. In the middle I feel like it looks as it is in a spiral. This piece is similar to my Traditional Surrealist because it keeps your eye moving. There is one green square, maybe meant to be the focal point, i see it but i don't know if its the first thing i see. My eye is directed into a spiral motion.

Project 2 Story in a Photograph

I don't have much of a story other than i was in gymnastics in high school, and i love strawberry cheesecake pancakes from IHOP! Although you do hop in gymnastics moves so i feel like it fits well!

Elements of Design

Color- f/ 14 1/500....I like how the bright yellow contrasts with the white snow.
Line- f/ 13 1/320...I love the rustic look of this shot, and the cracked lines all moving together.
Movement- f/ 14 1/400....... This is my favorite shot of all. I like how you can see the background through the swirl.
Unity- f/ 13 1/320....The reflection on the window is my favorite part of this shot. I think it looks very crisp and clean.
Value- f/ 13 1/320.....The tree bark show great value with the areas of light bark and dark bark. I like how they contrast each other.
